The Sisters of the Holy Cross (CSC), headquartered in Notre Dame, Indiana, are one of three Catholic congregations of religious sisters which trace their origins to the foundation of the Congregation of Holy Cross by the Blessed Father Basil Anthony-Marie Moreau, CSC, at Le Mans, France in 1837.
The other two congregations of religious women are the Marianites of Holy Cross (New Orleans, Louisiana) and the Sisters of Holy Cross (Montreal, Canada). (pictures at link below).

Habit: A black habit with the rosary of the Seven Dolors at the right side and a blue cord on the left, a silver heart with the image of Our Lady of Sorrows on it, a circular collar and a fluted cap with black veil.
