Depends on what period of time you're asking. Back in the day...a long time ago...women usually didn't have jobs. But if they did, it was usually nurses, or teachers and seamstress. Labeled as "women work" Women often gets paid waaay less. In fact, it's still like that today. There aren't a lot of female mechanics because we've stapled in our minds that that's "mans work"
