The Jews were sent to concentration camps where most of them were killed by the Nazis. the most important name you should know and remember Adolf Hitler a Germany leader after Germany lost the war. The people turned to him for help but they made the wrong choice. He is against all Jews and non- Nazis because he believes they are to blame. so he decides to create a thing called Nazism-- kicks out Jews and non- Nazis out of Germany government. another name you should probably remember is Anne Frank-- 13 yr old girl that was a victim of the Holocaust and is a primary source today because she wrote all the events that happened during the holocaust in her diary till she died in a concentration camp. her father was the only Survivor, he found her diary, read it, published it and today now known as 2nd best published book next to The Bible.

Upset is not the right word, they will be more than upset, and of course they don't want it to happen again.

They felt nothing because they were hardened and brainwashed by Germany into thinking it was right. I would think that they felt at least a shred of basic human guilt though.

Couldn't disagree more! There is proof which states that the majority of the perpetrators were NOT brainwashed individuals. Many of them were volunteers. I suggest you read, or have a look at:Ordinary Men - Christopher BrowningHitlers willing executioners - Daniel Goldhagen. These 2 read together will give you a more rounded view and bits of evidence to make up your own mind.

There is nothing 'rounded' about Goldhagen's book. He pays very little attention to most research and has a racist anti-German agenda. Most reviews of the book by professional historians were scathing.

they didnt actually know what was happening because they were being tricked by hitler, he was showing happy videos of actors in concentration camps. In conclusion they thought it was a good change so they would finally regain their power though it wasnt based on the truth.

The Holocaust makes me feel sad and depressed. Think about it yourself... imagine, being held captive in a camp, having to sleep with people you don't know, being separated from you family, and having to work all day long, being starved to death, given only watery soup, having to worry about catching a disease. You are shaved bald, given only striped pajamas and no shoes to wear.... I could think of a thousand reasons why the Holocaust makes me depressed. Think about it. 6 million Jews alone were killed. Think how many more were killed in total! What the saddest part to me is that 1.5 million Jewish children alonewere killed. They could have grown to become people to find a cure for cancer, for AIDS, doctors, fireman... it's so sad! :( Maybe this is enough for you. Hope this answers your question...

To all decent people everywhere including many Germans, the holocaust was utterly abhorrent. Until a fairly late stage in the war, the Allies said relatively little about the Holocaust.
