The term "ghetto" typically refers to a poor urban area where a specific minority group resides, often characterized by poverty and social issues. On the other hand, "hood" is a colloquial term for neighborhood, which can encompass a broader range of areas beyond just impoverished or minority communities. Essentially, the "hood" could include ghettos but is not limited to them.

you might be able to get under the car somehow and flip the hood release from the inside.
A ducted range hood is vented to the outside of the area. A non-ducted hood has a fan that just recirculates the air through a filter.
Put you hand in the top middle of the hood and pull down on it. Do let your fingers be under the hood when iot closes or you might loose them. The hood closing is the same on all cars.
There should be a sticker under the hood that identifies the engine, it might be on the strut tower, or on the hood itself.
They are distinctly different, trust me. Whether your car has two or four doors has real bearing on the shape of your hood. They are not interchangeable, we know from experience.

Push down on the hood at the latch while a helper pulls the release. Then try to lift the hood. If the hood cable is broken or maladjusted, then it might be necessary to reach up from under the vehicle and try to release the hood.
I had this problem when my civic was in a front end collision. I opened the hood and pounded out the dents with a rubber mallet, but then the hood wouldn't latch. The hood is curved and by pounding out the dents in the front, i had bent the front of the hood upwards, making it impossible for the latch to fully engage. I solved the problem with a few well placed mallet blows near the middle of the hood, which brought the front end of the hood back into its more natural position. This might not be the optimal solution if you hood isn't already banged up, but it might set you in the right direction. I had this problem when my civic was in a front end collision. I didn't know that one would require a battery to open. but if so one thing that you can do is to take the two cables off the back of the switch that opens that hood and add a 12 volt battery. press the button and walla the hood will open. If you are talking about the hood for the engine, it doesn't need power. If you have pulled on the hood release latch inside the car and the hood didn't pop up, it might just be stuck to the rubber seal. You might need someone to help you fix this. Have someone lift up on the hood while you pull on the hood release latch. If you are by yourself, pull the hood release latch and then go out and pull up on the hood - it might still pop open. Note: There is a safety catch that won't allow the hood to open simply by pulling on the hood release latch inside the car. Once the hood is popped, there is a handle under the hood that you have to grab that will allow you to open the hood the rest of the way. While standing at the front of the car with the hood popped, look under the hood or in the grill and you should be able to see the handle.
