Francis began mocking Scout calling her and Atticus n-word lovers. So, Scout socked him in the mouth. She was then beaten by Uncle Jack for beating up Francis and calling him a "whore-lady." Which was unfair because Uncle Jack never asked for Scouts side of the story. Uncle Jack realizes this is unfair when he goes and talks to Scout back at her house.
