The Previous answer was incorrect :

Shakespeare's theatre got closed down because during a play they hit a cannonball and the fire caught on to some hatch and it burnt it down.

Shakespear's Theater DID close down BUT in 1613 that happened.

You want to know about what happened to it in '1592' .In 1592 the Bubonic Plague hit London so the theater was forced to close down.

Hope that helps!

Shakespeare didn't own any part of any theatre in 1592. The outbreak of plague (pneumonic, not bubonic) in 1592/1593 was severe enough to cause the authorities around London to close all the playhouses in the city and suburbs. There is some indication that those quite some distance from the city itself, such as the Newington Butts Playhouse, remained open when those in Southwark were closed. Most of the playing companies either toured the country towns with a reduced company, or pawned their costumes and scripts or both. Many of them failed and were reformed when the plague abated in 1594. Shakespeare was at this time a jobbing actor who had shown some talent for playwriting, and made a little money by publishing the semi-pornographic poem Venus and Adonis. It was when the new Lord Chamberlain's company was formed in 1594 that Shakespeare was actually offered a partnership.

The Globe Playhouse, which burned down in 1613, wasn't even built until 1599 and so has nothing to do with this.

Is elephantiasis contagious?

No it is not. Elephantiasis is caused by microscopic thread-like parasitic worms which are transmitted by mosquitoes. Therefore, it is impossible for an individual to become infected with elephantiasis when they are in close contact with other infected individuals.Elephantitis is actually caused by a parasite. The disease is not considered contagious but the parasites that cause it can be spread. The parasite or worms can be spread by mosquitoes but having the parasite alone will not cause the disease. The disease is caused by the parasites blocking glands in the lymphatic system of the human body.
