When there is not enough calcium circulating in your blood your body will take calcium out of your bones and teeth, making them weaker.

Disease caused by lack of calcium is rickets. The function of calcium in the body is to strngthen bones and teeth but you need to have vitamin D to absorb it. you get calcium from dairy products. Protein on the otherhand is needed for growth and you get it from meat, fish, eggs, pulses
