Having nursed two newborn kittens, the only two of five that survived, from our cat's last litter, consider taking them to a rescue shelter. You have sleepless nights and weeks of work ahead of you.
What we did:
First, I bought several cans of cat formula from the local farm supply store, an eye dropper and two kitten bottles.
We began feeding the kittens by hand with the dropper, an ounce or so at a time, every two hkours or so. The mother had totally disowned the litter--two were stillborn, she dispathed one, and we stopped her from killing the other two. A vet told us there must have been something wrong with them, or she would not have behaved so. We disagreed.
The two survivors slept in a small laundry basket lined with towels over a hot water bottle. We refreshed the hot water each time we fed them. After the second week, we increased the amount of milk and introduced them to the bottle at least once a day.
Six weeks later, we began giving the soft raw food, an organic brand, and started weaning them.
At eight weeks, they were weaned, and the male (Yoda) was sneeking out of the house to hunt. Today, four years later, the male (Yoda) is the world's happiest farm cat on the world's most mouseless farm (the morning after he was adopted, he was waiting on the back porch with the racoon he had killed in the chicken coop--he sleeps during the day with the chickens). His sister (Orange Peel) lives in the city watching geese in the park across the street.
It's worth the work, but is a lot of work.

Kittens left outside (bad idea) will attack anything that moves or wiggles. It's the prey-attack instincts. Plus, momma is teaching kittens to hunt. However, you're placing your kittens at risk to let them do this. Spiders, insects, and snakes can all bite and cats / kittens can have allergic reactions.
