What do Jehovah's Witnesses eat?

Anything edible. There are no dietry restrictions imposed on christians apart from the restriction not to consume blood, therefore, apart from ensuring that any meat consumed has been properly bled, (and avoiding blood based foods such as Black pudding - a British English term for sausage made by cooking blood), Jehovah's Witnesses make individual personal decisions as to what they eat.

we can eat anything excepting things which contain blood. we eat normal food, and what ever is usually eaten in the country in which one lives in. unless the person has made a personal decision not to eat certain foods, that would be the only time you'll see us not eating something.

The only dietary restriction that Jehovah's Witnesses have is The Bible's command to avoid the consuming of blood. (Act 15:28,29) Therfore, any meat that has not been properly bled, or any foods made from blood would not be eaten by JW's. The only other items that might be avoided by JW's are foods directly associated with holidays or celebrations that we do not participate in, in cases where the food has a direct ceremonial link to the celebration, such as a birthday cake.

From a religious perspective, Jehovah Witnesses go door to door, offering free home Bible studies and Watchtower and Awake magazines and they are very interesting. They believe that god does have a name, and they follow everything from the bible, they do know not to use the Old Testament, as in sacrificing or killing people, because Jesus came to to the earth and made a New Testament. They know that gods name is Jehovah because in Psalm 83:18 its says "That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth." if you want proof look in your bible and look in that scripture.

In terms of secular work, Jehovah's Witnesses around the world work in wide and varied areas. Some Witnesses are scientists, doctors, lawyers, astrophysicists, geologists, chemical biologists, truck drivers, carpenters, mechanics, nurses, taxi drivers, merchandisers, managers, tilers, roofers, teachers, store clerks, bus drivers... etc. etc.

In all areas of life, Witnesses try to live as close to the bible standards as imperfection will allow. They go door to door because it is a command from Jesus (whose steps they follow closely) and because they love their neighbor and do not want to see any destroyed. You couldn't find nicer, imperfect, people.

Answer also: Speaking as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, we live, work, enjoy family, friends and recreation just like the rest of the world population. Some of us are employed in so many various fields just like listed above and more. More than anything we have respect for God's Word. You will see us all over the world going house to house, in public places with our carts, we conduct Bible studies with persons on an individual basis. We use the Bible, not our personal opinion to answer all questions such as the condition of the dead, worship of idols, religion, life, politics, ending unborn life alternative lifestyles and on and on. Our objective in life is to have and maintain a personal relationship with Almighty God Jehovah. We do what Jesus asked us to do. Jesus gave his disciples orders and sent them out to preach. John 13:15 "For I set the pattern for you, that just as I did to you, you should also do."

The main duties of one of Jehovah's Witnesses is to love God with their whole heart, mind and soul. Their next duty is to love their neighbour as themselves. They also have to care for their families, providing for them physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Jehovah's Witnesses also consider it a duty and a privilege to preach the gospel. They are required also to obey the laws of the land to the degree that it does not conflict with Divine law, to pay their taxes and live peaceably with all people.
