asking forgiveness from god is really simple , and if you really mean it it is gonna be accepted , you just say(استغفر الله العظيم which means (I ask forgiveness from you great god) , or you can pray , because if you prayed then all your sins are going to be (deleted) , but when you do anything in Islam for god you should truly mean it , because god accepts your actions on why did you do them like:
EX: a man donated a 10000000$ to the kids with cancer but he did it so people will talk about how generous he is , then this is not gonna be accepted from him , but if he donated it for the sake of god then it is gonna be accepted and god will give him more money and also give him a happy life .
I hope I answered your question :)
The scriptures teach that forgiveness of sins is possible through repentance and seeking forgiveness from God. It emphasizes the importance of forgiving others as well, as we are forgiven by God.

Both pray for the same God the Creator and asking for His support and help and forgiveness.
Islam religion calls Muslims to be thankful to God (Allah) and to request His blessings and forgiveness. This call includes praying for God before and after eating. Muslims used also before eating or drinking to say "In the name of Allah the All-Merciful the All-Glorious" and pray Him to forgive them and bless them. After drinking or eating, they say " Thank to God " and they pray him to bless them with good health.
They can if they want to but the will be painfully punished in hell by Allah (God).

Subhannah Wata Ila ila meaning God in Islam, Subhannah Wata All praises & glory to .. This is what Muslims say after Allah. Some use (swa) although it shouldn't be abbreviated and said in whole in all cases. *Inspired by Um Hajj , I don't want my knowledge to go to waste. As Muslims we should all strive for the upmost in humility, love, forgiveness, and enlightenment.
