coal plants have tall chimmneys that contain scrubbers that actually scrub the air as it passes over them, reducing the output of co2 and brings it down to 2 % from say 50 %. Even though co2 has NOT been proven to cause green house gases and global warming. The real culprit is the huge volano in Antarctica which releases 70,000 tons of co2 daily. This is what we saw in the first pictures of earth satelites in 1956 and still see today in 2008. The ozone hole opens and closes at the will of the output from this volcano on a monthly basis. Why can you pour carbon dioxide gas?

Because it is a waste product of the respiratory system. We inhale air. Our longs filter out the needed oxygen which is sent to the tissues of our body. In the process, the lungs get rid of waste by exhaling carbon dioxide. Every cell in your body needs energy to live. They get their energy by reacting sugar (from food) with oxygen (which we breath in). This reaction, called respiration, releases energy and the waste products water and carbon dioxide. We get rid of the water as urine and the carbon dioxide is removed from our bodies through our lungs. We breath it out to get rid of it.

What organ system that takes oxygen into the body and gits rid of carbon dioxide and water vapor?

The respiratory system takes oxygen into the body and rids itself of carbon dioxide.

Why does sea water absorb carbon dioxide?

Sea water absorbs carbon dioxide naturally as carbonic acid. The concentration is reduced by organisms like phytoplankton that fix carbon (use the carbon dioxide for photosynthesis) and release oxygen.

Is coke is a pure form of carbon?

Coke is a relatively pure form of carbon. Coke is produced in a process designed to remove sulfur and nitrogen compounds from bituminous coal, and to convert tarry materials -- compounds which contain carbon, hydrogen, and possibly a little oxygen -- to carbon. The coking process is not usually designed to get rid of soil nor ash from coal, and it is usually not particularly effective at doing so. There are many different grades of coal, but none of them are particularly pure forms of carbon. Anthracite, the highest grade, is 92-98% carbon, bituminous coal 60-75% carbon, while lignite, "brown coal", is typically only 25-35% carbon.

Why do you keep breathing heavily after you have stopped running?

You have gone into oxygen deficit. Your body has used a lot of oxygen while you were running and has produced more carbon dioxide. You need to get rid of the excess carbon dioxide and replenish the oxygen. This is why you keep breathing heavily. If you just hold your breath for a long time the same effect occurs. Your body keeps on using oxygen and producing carbon dioxide even if you are not running.

When you exhale what gas does your body get rid off?

When you breathe out, your body gets rid of Carbon Dioxide (CO2).

What will happen if the supply of carbon dioxide is permamently cut off?

Plants "breathe" carbon dioxide. They use it in photosynthesis. If carbon dioxide was completely wiped out, plants would die. During photosynthesis, plants turn carbon dioxide into oxygen, which we humans breathe. Once the plants die, humans would also die from lack of oxygen. Carbon dioxide is not something we should try to get rid of completely. The bulk of the carbon dioxide is created by nature. Man produces 3 to 6% of the CO2, the rest is natural.

How do plants improve air?

Plants provide a thing called oxygen, which happens to be what we breath. So it gets rid of carbon dioxide and replaces it with oxygen.

Why do you get rid of carbon dioxide?

By exhaling.

Which organ in the body gets rid of carbon dioxide?

Carbon dioxide is expelled from our lungs.

When do plants use carbon dioxide night or day?

Plants use carbon dioxide in the daytime as part of photosynthesis which occurs in the chloroplast. They use the CO2 and make sugars. People breath in oxygen and breath out carbon dioxide, plants do the opposite. They breath in carbon dioxide and breath out oxygen. One small "technical" detail that should be mentioned. Plants really don't breath, they respire. People breath. So, at the night, the plant cells respire more than they photosynthesise, so they get rid of more carbon dioxide than oxygen.

Does carbon dioxide interfere with photosynthesis?

well lets see well u breath out carbon dioxide an plants give us oxygen when we breathe out air.because the body is tryin to gte rid of the bad carbon dioxide. An ur helpin the plants breath an u breathe --kj

What does the respiratory system get rid of?

Carbon dioxide

What is the job of breathing?

To get a rid of carbon dioxide from your bloodstream and get a rid of germs.

What do you get rid of while you yawn?

when you yawn you get rid of carbon dioxide and breathe in oxygen.

When you breathe out your body gets rid of what?

Carbon dioxide.

How do plants get rid of carbon dioxide and water vapor?

How do plants take in oxygenFirst cells in take carbon dioxide and do photosynthesis, which takes water, sugar, and CO2 and then creates oxygen and a green pigment. However, plants breed just like animals and thus use up all the O2 they produce (or almost all). They are auto-sufficient.
