Many athletic stars does not menstruate because of their low body fat and extreme exercise routines. This is called 'amenorrhea' and it a problem that can effect their fertility and health in later years. Especially young stars going through puberty and their teen age years should be encouraged to seek medical help to manage amenorrhea.

Some movie, tv and singing stars often lead unhealthy lives due to stress, poor nutrition, travel and substance abuse. This will cause long menstrual cycles or even no menstruation (amenorrhea).

Regularly menstruating stars will often use tampons as can be seen on many paparazzi photos. They have the option of tucking the string inside or wearing the tampon upside down so that the string is well hidden

Other options available to stars (and all other women) are extended cycle pills where her menstruation is controlled and delayed by hormonal Birth Control pills and menstrual cups (reusable or disposable) that can be worn internally for long periods at a time without any health problems.

The plain old panty liner is also much smaller , discrete and more absorbent today. It can often be worn discretely without it being noticeable and in some sports like gymnastics, it is also used to protect he genitalia.
