A Forensic Investigator could be someone who works with a Medical Examiner from the very beginning. Such as looking for evidence from a crime scene where someone has died from unusual causes. Unusual death's are like:
Homicide, Suicide, Children with no health issues, Car Accident, drowning, acts of terrorism. Basically anything out of the ordinary. Also a Forensic Investigator would help in the Autopsy, doing lab work, X-ray foreign matter to recover. The all together accomplishment is to determine cause and manner of death after the investigation is completed. So say if some one wants to find out how their spouse, neighbor, friend or etc. got murdered or died than they could have a team of different investigator's such as Police Officers, Forensic Investigator's, and Nurse Facility search and find clues or ways to find the murderer or way that person died.
