ask them why. have an intelligent conversation with them about what makes them think this. perhaps they think you are too young?
and do you just want a girlfriend or are you interested in one particular girl?
if you're interested in a girl they do not have the right to control your relationships. it is, after all, your life. just know that they are most likely trying to protect you, so don't be too hard on them.
