try putting transmission in neutral, then try ignition
also check to see if steering wheel is not turned and applying pressure on steering lock in column
to do this try to move steering wheel
if this is problem it will only move one way , which would be in direction needed to straighten wheels.if it doesnt move one way but does the other way, when you move steering wheel u should be able to use ignition switch
Put your key in the ignition put foot on brake and gently turn the key and the steering wheel. It is probably stuck because your wheels are turned.
pump relay probably stuck
bad ignition switch - inside steering column
how to remove key stuck in ignition switch in Chevy colbalt
Probably a stuck headlight relay. Bang on it and see if it releases.
because stupid, YOU GOT THE WRONG KEY Typically, the most common reason for the key to be "stuck" in the ignitions, is that the steering wheel is turned from the center position, which causes the ignition interlock feature to be "jammed". By manipulation of the steering wheel, to where there is no tension on it, will usually allow the key to be moved to a psoition to where it can be removed. Bad gauge, stuck sending unit in tank, grounded signal wire
Have you checked to make sure nothing is lodged in the gear console? This happened to me once and I realized one of my sons art project necklaces was stuck in there and once removed, everything was back to normal.
Try turning the steering wheel back and forth while turning the key.
I had this problem and it turned out to be a dirty park switch located in the console shift (automatic), that releases the ignition in park. The mech cleaned it and the problem never returned.
Well, it sounds like the chip that is in your key may have broke or got stuck on a part of the ignition. I had that problem. This happened not long after I had had to have the ignition replaced?!?
i forgot the combination but i need help to let my ipod open
