Tell him he is not a bad guy but you don't feel like you have anything in common with him and just want to remain single. That your sure he would be a good catch for a different girl. Even if you know you might start or want to see other guys you don't have to hurt his feelings by telling him about other intentions you might later on have. I would tell him the truth and let him go gently.
