It kinda Depends, Does he mean, like about him? If he means what you like and dont like then tell him, And if its about him, Be truthful, Its better for him to know!

First of all, think of all the reasons you went out with him in the first place. Was it because he's good looking? Has a good sense of humor? Romantic? Boys love it when you tell them that their good at something. If you were ever impressed by something good that he has done, tell him about that. Compliment him but don't go to overboard otherwise it will look as though your lying or taking the mickey out of him. I hope this helps :)
