Labradors will eat almost anything. Dog food, both canned and dry, scraps, mice, dead birds and I hate to say it buy they will eat cat poo too.

Labradors are not fussy with food, they love it and food loves them. Labs can been known to over eat and gain weight very quickly. If you have a Labrador then you need to be cautious of how much you do feed it.

Bassy, my Labrador, is not fussy on anything. He loves all of the above and more. He loves cheese. Most dogs do, but you have to be careful as it can gum them up. Bassy also loves chocolate, but he rarely gets it, as it is bad for them.

So you are lucky with a Labrador, great temperament, loving and loyal, and a garbage disposal unit all in one. LOL.

Labradors like to eat the same types of food as any other dog. All dogs though have a personal preference and initially you will have to use trial and error to find out which brands your dog likes best.

When you collect your dog you need to ask what brand of food the dog has been eating so that you can give them the same food initially. The reason for this is their digestive system is used to this food and by changing their diet overnight the dog might suffer from an upset stomach. To change over to a new diet you just need to incorporate the new food in with the old food in small amounts which you gradually increase until there is none of the old food left in the diet.

You should feed your dog a balanced diet whether it be wet food, dry food or a mixture of the two.

labs eat almost everything eatable..so it s the owners duty to feed them a balanced diet..they eat all kinds of dog available on market..and they love milk,bread,eggs and sausages..i feed my dog bread,egg and milk in the morning..rice and beef at noon and dog food at night..he looks fine,healthy and happy..

In general, if you put dog food in front of a Labrador, he will probably eat it.
