the Bible calls for economic and social justice for all people. Liberation Theology started in Latin America where many people are very poor. Liberation theology follows the teachings and deeds of Jesus Christ and concerns itself with helping the poor and oppressed materially as a priority before evangelism takes place. As for beliefs, the beliefs of Liberationists are the same orthodox beliefs as all other Christians.
The followers of liberation theology believe that they can eliminate discriminatory practices of those in power and win the war against evil. Liberation theology believes that there are only two classes of people which are the oppressors and the oppressed.
