Ihram is symbolise that everyone is equal in the eyes of Allah.
Hajj is a kind of worship. The Muslims perform Hajj. It has nothing to do anything with soldiering or fighting. It is Jihad in which armed men take part, not Hajj.
It is the fifth pillar of Islam. Hajj is obligatory on Muslims (men/women) once in lifetime provided they can afford.
They do all Hajj rituals as men with no single difference except that they don't wear a special clothing for hajj as men but they wear the per religion licit clothing that they wear in their normal living days (with face and hands uncovered). Refer to related question below.

The Muslim men shave off their heads after performing Umra or Hajj. This shaved off head is called 'Tind' in Punjabi.
A man is called Hajji and a women is called Hajjah
They must do it. All Muslim men and women must do Hajj one time in their life when they have all the conditions: sane, puberty,the health and financial ability.
