Jesus is the Messiah in Islam, but in the sense that "Messiah" means that he is the proper successor to the Davidic Line as opposed to an incarnation of God in flesh as well as such a successor. Jews reject Jesus both as a prophet and as a Messiah. (It is important to note that the Jewish understanding of a Messiah is in line with the Muslim one and is different than the Christian one.) Jews reject Jesus as having any connection to the divine. If he is seen in a positive light, it is as a social reformer, not a religious leader in any capacity. Although Jesus himself was a Jew, he is considered heretical.

Christians ascribe to Jesus the nature of being a Messiah with the sense that he is an incarnation of God in flesh as well as a successor to the Davidic Line. Jesus' sacrifice permits the Christian to atone for their sins in a way that both Jews and Muslims have no access to.
