Yes, in fact some people already do.
They are called indigenous people and they rely on the forest to provide the food, shelter and clothing, kind of like how people used to live before the rise of technology.
Living like this may be a good idea, but technology can improve our lifestyle. For example, we can cross a corn plant with many kernels and a corn plant with resistance to bugs and form corn with both of the wanted traits.

∙ 12y agoYes, they do. This is because they are then far away from any deadly creatures that may live on the forest floor, and so they can see a long way. Many treehouses in the rainforest are approx. 110 feet high!
To build the house, the people of the rainforest put up some poles to support a thatched roof. Since it rains there so much, they have to do a good job in making the roof to have as few leaks as possible.
They don't need walls on the house like we do. It doesn't get cold there, and they don't need much privacy at all. Privacy to them is a lot different than it is to us.
