A red belly turtle eats almost everything. A red belly turtle can eat live worms (earthworms, gardenworms, and bloodworms), and also live feeder fish.
They can also eat lots of fruits and vegetables. You can feed them tiny pieces of strawberry, banana, and much more. In vegetables, I think the best is romaine lettuce. Also, do NOT ever feed your turtle iceberg lettuce because it has no nutritions or values for turtles. You must also feed them dried foods like dried krill(gammarus), and shrimps that are high in calcium. Calcium hardens turtles' shells, which is good. These all sell at local pet shops and supermarkets.
You must feed your turtle dried food daily, but give the other foods for only a treat and do not give it too much treats. When your turtle gets older, you can also feed it live shrimp.
