Right to work laws are supposed to prohibit mandatory union membership to work. However the Michigan RTW prohibits the unions from collecting any fees for their services including fees for grievance negotiations for non-members.
Since federal law mandates that all unions must provide equal services for all employees belonging to the employment group regardless of whether they are Union members or not, this effectively mandates that the unions are to provide legal representation on labor grievances to anyone that asks for free!!!!
The governor says that if they do a good job they will get paid but when was the last time you heard of someone paying for something the government says they can have for free?
What are the effects of right-to-work laws on union membership?
I think is to prevent laws that reduce their right to bear amrs :)
Right-to-work laws
"Right to work" movements come (usually from union based) work groups, who are attempting to exercise the right-to-work laws. The right-to-work laws allow workers to benefit from collective bargaining, but withhold dues or agency fees to support the bargaining process.
Right to work laws allow workers to work in a union shop without joining the union. Thereby prohibiting workers to be forced to join a union.

Labor laws prevent minors from working. The age of 16 is the youngest a person can work with a work permit.
It the simplest terms, right to work laws are laws that prohibit companies and unions from making contracts that require workers to become members of the union in order to work for that company.
No. Child labor laws prevent it. Some places will hire at 16 with a work permit.
