Teenagers generally fear that which they do not know. Education and experience are a normal part of learning that help to ease or erase the fear of the unknown.
I happen to think that fear of the unknown is the main cause of fear for everyone not just teenagers. I think if this question is related to a certain teenager that you happen to know then you should know the answer. Fear is relative. Teenagers in Africa fear different things to those is Britain or America.
Basically, Different people fear different things!
Kids fear the most because their mind is not developed like an adult human being.
They can believe in any superstitious things without any reason.

Teens may give in to peer pressure due to a desire to fit in, fear of rejection, or lack of confidence in their own judgment. Peer pressure can be a powerful influence during adolescence when teens are trying to establish their identities and build relationships with peers.
Teenagers have greater influence of religion and religious activities as a research indicates that the majority of teenagers believe in God and its existence and from any point of view it is good thing as fear of God keeps the teens away from all those things which are destructive for them. However ,there is small portion of those teens who believe that there is no God and the world would continue like this. So ,influence of religion effect teens in a number of ways.
Teens may give in to peer pressure due to a desire to fit in, gain acceptance, or avoid feeling left out. Additionally, teens may lack the confidence or assertiveness to say no to their peers. Social influence and the need for approval from their peers can also play a significant role in adolescents giving in to peer pressure.
Teens may resist growing up because of fear of the unknown, desire to maintain the freedom and simplicity of youth, or reluctance to take on more responsibilities and challenges that come with adulthood. The transition to adulthood can be overwhelming and teens may feel pressure to conform to societal expectations.
Most people start in their early teens. Older people have usually found different ways to discharge the fear and anxiety that are the basis of cutting.
