I can say for sure that E20 means "Unreadable Disc", but the reason might have to do with overheated discs. I found that using a commercial CD (an actual, band released CD) gave me no problems, but when I used my own "burned" CD's, some of them would overheat in about an hour in the stock CD player and actually WARP. This is when I would get the E20 error message, and the disc would be very difficult to remove until it cooled off.
AnswerIf you received the error message E20 after putting in a burnt CD or a scratched CD then I'm pretty sure that is the error message for "unreadable data" for that certain model of Firebird. Since it's been awhile since I've seen that message in my Firebird(long since installed an after market CD player) I cannot be certain that is the correct answer. AnswerE20 : Focus Error Cause(s): The CD player cannot focus on the disc or there is an internal focus problem. Correction(s): Try cleaning the disc or using a new disc. Make sure the disc is loaded correctly. The road could be too rough or there is too much humidity."I had a problem before with my 1998 firebird where the radio locked and I had to get a code to unlock it now it is locked again and I don't have the manual to get the instructions to unlock it but I do still have the code.
