Hawaiian is a language on its own. Therefore, Hawaiian names are used in Hawaii and English names are used in the US and other English speaking countries.
We call it voodoo here too. It isn't a Hawaiian thing. In Hawaiian language, it would be a special kind of pāhiʻuhiʻu. But it would more than likely just borrow the word and call it wupu or something.
