The sun, garlic, and the sign of the cross decapitation yeah according to Hollywood^ p.s. vampires don't mind garlic. it just gives them heart burn. Vamps are sensitive to light, true, but it's not like it's portrayed in 30 days of night.... Garlic, that's so Count Dracula, not true. You can spread mustard seeds around your house, because vampires are obsessed with counting things...and they will continue to count until the break of light and they are forced to return to their dwelling place. They may also be mildly sensitive to having a stake drivin through their heart...just a thought.

∙ 13y agoThe Cullen's drink animal blood rather than human blood. In Breaking Dawn Renesmee is half-vampire half-human and can eat human food and drink blood, she prefers to drink donated human blood though. In Twilight Edward Cullen eat some Pizza to show Bella that vampires can eat human food, but says that it is like a human eating dirt. Edward also eats some Wedding cake in Breaking Dawn. Vampires have to regurgitate the human food as vampires have no need for it.

∙ 11y agoVampires are evil creatures and the crucifix is the symbol of Jesus/God. Evil hates all things related to Christianity - crucifixes, holy water, The Bible, religious robes, etc. Even silver is hated in some lore because it is representative of the silver pieces Judas took for betraying Jesus. It is told that garlic is also very hateful for a vampire, or sharp objects.. in a cross form.

There was a story about a girl who was kidnapped by a vampire, and she watched this vampire take out her blood with a needle and put it into a glass and drink it. Luckly, she got out and got a ride to the hospital. Her blood was really low and she almost died. But, she escaped and told this story. So some vampires are harmfull, and others are harmless.
