Yorkies do need special food for there coat and health and nutrition.
Eukanuba dog food is good for their coat but it also makes it a bit greasy at times. Royal Canin is good for nutrition, teeth care and digestive system but it makes the coat very dry. I believe science diet is good also but I have not personally tried it yet.
Giving them dry food helps their health but they can also eat some table food too. Peas, green string beans, carrots, apples (not seeds), rice, skinless chicken, beef, watermelon, squash, sardines (in water), salmon and lettuce.
Yorkies are pets. There are no wild yorkies to eat anything.
Any dog can eat apples just not the seeds.
