A cross of a Pit Bull Terrier and and English Bulldog would be a mixed breed, or a crossbred dog.
The new "designer" breeds, such as a Goldendoodle or Yorkipoo (for example), are actually mixed breed dogs too, not an actual "breed" of dog at all.
A purebred dog is one that has been bred over many generations to breed true, meaning each puppy that is born looks and has the same temperament and characteristics as the others. In most cases a standard is written and breeders must follow this written standard.
Again with the example of a Goldendoodle, some of the puppies will be more Golden Retriever, or more Poodle, not a standard size or temperament that a true Golden Retriever or Poodle puppy would be.
What's more, responsible dog breeders will only breed dogs that fit the written standard of what the breed is supposed to be, and not for money.
cause they have there nose blue !!
The Bulldog and The English Terrier- (now extinct) originally known as the Bull-and-terrier. The pure white English Bull Terrier was bred by Mr James Hinks a dog dealer from Birmingham between 1850 and 1862. Due to the white bull terrier having problems with deafness breeders experimented with cross breeding the white bull terrier back with its coloured decendants to get the brindle or red coat.
