There may be a fuel pump reset switch. Upon a light impact, even a few kilometres per hour, the fuel pump to shut off, and there is a reset switch somewhere in the cab, possibly on the passenger's side fire wall. I guess the real answer is to find out what happened to it before it stopped running. If it ran before the timing belt change, re check that the timing was set properly. If the timing is off a coup[le of cogs, it won't run either. Hope this helps
it could be that the timing is a little off check the timing with a timing light, it could also be the ignition module which is very difficult to test on your own you can take the module to advance auto parts and they can test it for you!
check your timing
Check to be sure it isn't the water pump.
if engine has carb.try replacing the accelerator pump, when worn out, will cause surging. problem. if engine has carb.try replacing the accelerator pump, when worn out, will cause surging. problem.also check coil. This can be caused by a worn timing belt. The 2.3 has had it's share of timing belt issues. I would get a HAYNES manual and check the timing belt most likely replacing the belt. When the belt is stretched, it has the effect of retarding the timing which will cause the problems you mentioned. These belts on these motors need to be replace every 70,000 miles to avoid this.
The 2.7 liter 4 cylinder has a timing CHAIN and the 3.4 liter V6 engine has a timing BELT ( check Ford Ranger XLT - recently answered questions )
2002 and newer Crv's have a timing chain that only need replacing when noisy.
check brake light switch
Check if you're getting fire, next make sure you're getting fuel, and check your timing belt.
You need to line up the marks on the two pulleys. You can get a timing belt book at your local parts supplier or get the manual for the car. Also check for bent valves as this is an interference engine
check for a faulty speed buffer module
