What do you do about mean parents?

you should tell them that i do like what you do to me and act like to me and you should go to your room and stay until lunch,breakfast and dinner until they apolagise serioly i tried and it worked so you should to.!

Find out why they are mean. If you are younger than say 15, a lot of things they do may seem quite mean, yet be very necessary actions; there is nothing you can or should do about such supposedly mean things. If you are older, then you may wish to consider moving out.

Secondly, how do you define 'mean'? Do they not let you use the computer for more than a certain amount of time? Do they ask you to do chores and jobs around the house? Both of these are perfectly acceptable things, and are a sign of good parenting.

However, if they are locking you in your room or not giving you enough food every day, then obviously there are some problems and you should talk to someone you trust, like a teacher at school.

They are mean just because. I tried talking to them. Like I said, they threaten to kill my fish and I have to physically hang onto them to stop them. I'm "just" 13 so there's not much I can do. I love them but at the same time I don't...Why do my little sisters get away with screaming for hours with only a mild reprimand, while I'd lose everything? I know love will find a way, but I'm tired of waiting. My greatest comforts (besides caring for my fish) are playing (and designing for) Zoo Tycoon 2, tweaking my forum, and singing "Love Will Find A Way", "My Lullaby", "I Just Can't Wait to Be King", and "We Are One"- especially the part where it says, "If there's so much I must be, can I still

just be me, the way I am? Can I trust in my own heart, or am I just one part of some

big plan?" and where it says, "...And the only thing we know is things don't always go the way we planned. I wish my parents were like Simba and Nala-supportive, yet (gently) correcting me. Granted, they (Simba and Nala) were strict and didn't let Kiara do very many things (my parents take this to an absolute EXTREME!), but at least they were willing to talk and not yell. Please help! I'm confused. I don't mind chores (I know they're necessary and keep our home bright and clean). But I only get 2 hours of computer time A WEEK! And that's on a really good week. A Zoo Tycoon 2 designer with the added job of running a forum (like me) should get more time, don't you think?
