I have TOTALLY been in that situation, these kinds of people are called players! If you like him back then ask him what he likes about you, if its because you are beautiful,smart, and/or kind then he probably realy does like you. If he says your hot and can't really think of a reason then leave him alone, hes just desperate and wants a girlfriend.
also if he is flirty with a lot of girls, just ignore him or stay friends, trust me it will save you a lot of heartbreak.
