What do you do if you have been dating a guy for a year and you have never talked about a future together?

Well if you have had a good relationship together that's good for the first step. Why haven't you talked about it? Is it because no-one has brought up the thought of being together, having a future together? Or is it that when you ask about it he decides to cut you off and not talk about it? You both should be on the same page together. Maybe in his mind he only sees this as a relationship that will not last forever or he doesn't want it to go any further than what it is now. Never know, it could be that he is afraid to talk about having a future together because he doesn't know if your relationship could go further; meaning whether or not you want it too. A known fact is that a guy who cares about you only wants to please you. Maybe he is afraid to bring it up because he doesn't want to push you away if you don't want a future together. Some girls just want a relationship when the guys want more. Depends on the person. So ask to be on the same page with him, you never know :). Take some initiative to ask first because he may have more to say about it than you thought that is great. If he doesn't want to talk about it then maybe give it some more time before confronting him about why he doesn't want one or doesn't want to talk about it.

The fact that you have been with him this long must mean you are very important to him :). Bring the question up. :)
