  • It is very important to tell the truth if someone in that friendship is cheating; hurting another; gossiping and putting down the other person with untruths; a crime, etc. and although sad it is better to have ruined a friendship than not stand up for what you think is right. If you just told the truth about some insignificant subject which was really none of your business then you need to apologize and set the record straight.
