1. Apple a hot water bottle or heating pad to ear
2. Chew gum or yawn a lot. (Especially when short earache is caused by a change of altitude, as in an airplane.)
3. Use nose drops in the nose. This sometimes helps open a clogged ear. Be sure the nose drops were prescribed for you by your doctor when you had a cold, and have not changed color.
4. Take aspirin or any pain reliever prescribed in the past.
5. If an insect gets in the ear, you can often get it to crawl out by holding a bright light close to the ear.
I`ve Tried Lots Of Home Remedies. Warm Sweet Oil Seems To Help But For Me A Visit If It Takes To The ER or Dr. Where They Will Give You An Antibotic And a Small Bottle Of Eardrops 10ml Made By Bausch & Lomb. Sorry This Isn`t Much To Offer. But Only Thing That Will Help Me. Good Luck
For any age: (1) severe ear pain or (2) ear pain accompanied by fever or (3) ear pain accompanied by drainage from the ear or (4) ear pain accompanied by other signs of illness should be reported to a physician; less severe ear pain that persists for more than 24 hours should also be reported. These situations are usually not a reason for an emergency room visit unless accompanied by other signs of serious illness. For any age: Preliminary home care includes (1) a cold pack or cold washcloth applied to the outer ear for 20 minutes; (2) pain reliever, anti-inflammatory, and possibly a decongestant; (3) ear drops or olive oil (if there is no drainage from the ear); (4) chewing gum (adults and older children only); (4) the person may be more comfortable sitting up rather than lying down. Some medical professionals suggest a warm pack or heating pad, but a considerable majority at this time suggest using cold. Whichever works for you or your child, use it. For children:The most common cause of ear pain is blockage of the eustachian tube that drains the middle ear. The pressure can hurt a lot even if there's no infection. Children should be given only children's versions of medications; follow the directions precisely. Chewing gum should be given only to children old enough to safely use it; you don't want the gum to end up choking the child. For young children, sucking on a pacifier or water bottle may help relieve some of the pressure. For adults: Ear pain is less likely to be from the ear itself, and is more often "referred" pain from some other problem, such as the jaw, teeth, sinuses, or throat. Be careful about the Chewing Gum, and stop using it immediately if the pain worsens; you may have a jaw or dental problem. Follow medication directions exactly; acetaminophen/paracetamol overdose is an especially health-threatening problem. You can treat ear aches many different ways. If you are having a lot of ear aches you might want to consult your doctor to make sure there is nothing inside your ear that is bothering you. Some people use ear wax candles, or smoke candles that you can purchase at a store. There are also certain drops (for swimmers ear and the like) you can purchase for home use. I use a warm wash cloth compress on the ear and then I lay on that side for about five mins. Make sure that the cloth is not too hot so that it wont hurt your ear. Another thing that I do for my family is to pour a few drops of hydrogen peroxide into the affected ear. Lay with that ear up until the bubbling stops then I turn my head over onto a wash cloth for it to drain out. Do not do this more than one time a week because it can cause your ear to become too dry.
Seriously,There have been many reports about this, But the best thing to do is put some rubbing alcohal or you can find some ear care at really any drug store,Personally,I got mine at Claire's. ;)
If the pain is caused by an ear infection you will have to see a doctor who will prescribe antibiotics. Also depending on the seriousness of the infection the doctor may also have to lance the eardrum to facilitate drainage of the puss out the ear canal.
When I had an ear infection in the 6th grade, I can still remember the pain that felt as if the entire side of my head where the infected ear was might EXPLODE at any second, the continuous draining of foul smelling puss from that ear for days, and the scent of the tissues I had on the bed to catch the puss so it would not get in the bedding. That specific scent of the tissues still gives me a vaguely sick feeling when I encounter it even today. Eventually the antibiotic the doctor had given my mother to treat me with killed the bacteria and I recovered.
You can buy ear drops from a chemist or a pharmacist in Britain (probably the same in any country). From childhood memory, you stand the bottle (usually has a dropper) in warm water to 'warm up'. Then using the dropper (glass tube with a rubber bulb) to squeeze the solution into the offending ear while keeping your head to one side, so the solution goes in and not drips out!
Sometimes, simply blocking the ear for a while with cotton wool, so keeping the wind out of the ear, is enough. If neither of the above possible solutions doesn't work after a few days, it is time to see your doctor in case it is something more serious.
You might want to go the doctor to see if its infected hope this information helped.
drink lots of fluids and take painkillers calpol, nurofen, paracetomol etc. Or you can go to your doctor and get antibiotics.
If its the inside of your ear you probably have an ear infection
Thanks it was helpful bro
I really appreciate it
Your ear hurts because it wants to...MWAHAHAH... :D Go see a doctor...>:D
your ear hurts and your jaw hurts. plus it makes you dizzy.
Depending on what you're eating, It may not be the ear at all, it might be the jaw. There is a bone that runs from the middle of the ear to the jaw and even though you don't feel anything around your jaw, it may be the reason your ear hurts. It might help if you had a doctor check it out though.
yes it can it hurts terribley and you have a bump behind your ear
of course it hurts.
yes because my ear is inflamed and it hurts for like about 2 days
Your ear hurts because it wants to...MWAHAHAH... :D Go see a doctor...>:D
It really depends on where your getting the ear piercing. Tragus, industrial or uncommon ear piercings hurt more then the belly button. If were talking normal lobe piercings, belly hurts more :)
Yes, puncturing the ear lobe hurts, but only for a brief period of time.
because it hurts your ear drum
hard lump between jaw and ear what is it and how can it be cured?
