The male and female bettas will do a mating ritual involving a dance, flaring at one another, and ending with the male coaxing the eggs from the female. when this happens, carefully remove the female from the tank (she will try to eat the eggs) and allow the male to fertilize and care for the eggs. Wait approximately 2-3 days untill the fry are free-swimming and remove the male. Then feed the fry either special fry food or microworms. Make sure the water flow is lowered for the fry once the father is out. Good luck!
If they are not too old and the female is ready, then they will mate.
Ur betta is ready to breed
It means they are getting ready to MATE
Take the male out but leave the female if you have.
No. A male Betta is needed to spawn out the female and fertilise her eggs.
Male Betta's do not have babies. The female lays the eggs, the male fertilizes them and then takes care of them in a "bubble nest" that he builds until they hatch.
No, the male should be kept with the babies. Once the babies are adults, the mother can live with the females.
A female Betta in breeding condition will look plump and have a rounded tummy area.
Yes! Betta fish males can make bubble nests whether or not a female betta is present! Male bettas make nests when their home are in proper conditions and they are ready to breed.
If you can get a female of the same type as the male you have, that is best, but any female Betta will spawn with any male Betta provided they have the correct conditions and are both ready to breed.
When a female beta is ready to breed she develops a horizontal line the length of her body.
My sugestion is that you sell them because the female wil try to eat them and the male will kill the female and you will loose you female betta fish so give them to a pet store or sell em
