well, maybe they feel this way because it happened to her/him before and that someone just don't want to get hurt again. Make him/her feel comfortable around you by being there for him/her, cheering her/him up, talking to her/him more and let that person know that you care about her/him. Be closer to her/him, its not just gonna take like a week and she'll/he'll be with you, it takes time and if you really love this person, you wold wait until he/she feels comfortable around you.

If you truly love someone you should not be afraid to tell them or be afraid of what they will think. if you are affraid to tell someone you love them you sould just do it if they dot love you back its there loss not yours because you are probably a wonderful person and they dont realize it you eather need to leave that person alone or give them some time they will come around

Honestly... If this person won't leave their partner, then that means that they are happy. You can't force someone to leave their partner because YOU love them. Either hope and pray that eventually they do leave their partner, or try and find someone new.
