Pop up the hood and locate the alarm. It looks like a horn and is deafening. The cables to it can be easily disconnected. That should take care of your battery until you fix the issue.
The fix:Open the door, start your car and lock-unlock the doors using your remote a number of times until the lights stop beeping. It usually takes 3-4 times.
Now connect the alarm back
If battery is low alarm auto activates.
That the battery in your car is low and needs to be charged
You are suppose to keep a electrial charge to the alarm system by hooking up a battery to the aux outlet in the car. or by known the alarm code that gets entered on the radio after the electrail system has been disconnted. I f you don't known the code You will have to take it to a shop and have it reset
no it doesn't if the door is opened when its ON it makes a circuit and starts the car alarm
If you set the alarm (i.e. lock the car) and then disconnect the battery, the alarm will go off. If you disconnect the battery when the alarm is not set (i.e. when the car is unlocked) the alarm will not go off. (So don't try to nick a locked one).
Disarm the alarm before removing the battery.
sounds like the battery short-circuited.
It really depends on how the alarm is wired into the car. If it is wired into the ignition system the yes it will keep the car from starting if triggered.
It can, if it is the full factory alarm.
It could be that the battery in the remote is low. Replace the battery first. If that does not fix the problem, take it to a shop that repairs car alarms. Many have been fixed just by replacing the battery. Prior to the battery going completely out, it will cause the alarm to misread.
Car alarms normally work on the battery that starts the car.
