There are occasions when couples argue and one will tell the other "you're mental ... get help!" This is often meant as a statement and not a fact. After all, what is the definition of "normal?" If you do have problems, then how serious were you about going to the therapist and how hard did you try. You just can't go to the therapist once or even 10 times and expect to know what is wrong. If your partner isn't telling you what they feel is wrong or give you any reasons, perhaps it's time to sit down and either communicate about this or consider the fact perhaps you both should go.
