Gecko's normally eat insects like ants, roaches and crickets. Your best bet is to keep him for about a day and release him back to the wild as he can take better care of himself that you can. Many people catch critters thinking they would make a great pet, only to wind up killing it for lack of knowledge or proper care and I would hate for this to happen to you.
