The Golden Labrador is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Golden Retriever and the LabradorRetriever.
My Golden Retriever (female) had pups for my Black Lab (male) and all pups were solid black. They call the cross Golden Labs but mine are more like Black retrievers. They do have long hair. The actual length depends on if they're half lab half golden, or if it's quarter golden, then it wont be as fuzzy.
A cross-breed emerging from the Large Newfoundland, setter, sheepdog, and spaniel-like water dogs short haired retriever. The golden retriever came from flat coats.
A Golden Retriever cross Cocker Spaniel. The resulting puppies will be crossbreds/mongrels.
none
To breed a Labradoodle you will need a Lab and a Poodle. If you want to create a Goldendoodle, you will need a golden retriever and a Poodle.
Sounder was a mixed-breed dog, a cross between a Black and Tan Coonhound and a Labrador Retriever.
Perhaps the breed that most resembles the Labrador Retriever is the Golden Retriever, both sharing a similar appearance and personality. However, these two breeds are actually distant descendants. The Labrador Retriever is bred down from the now-extinct Lesser St. John's Dog, while the Golden Retriever is the result of a cross of the Flat-coated Retriever and the now-extinct Tweed Water Spaniel, mixed with other breeds in its ancestry such as the Irish Setter and the Bloodhound. Some other breeds that look like the Labrador Retriever are the Flat-coated Retriever, Curly-coated Retriever and Chesapeake Bay Retriever. However, the Lab's closest relative is the Newfoundland. Although now having a very different size, they both probably descended from St. John's Dog.
A golden Labrador is just a Labrador with a golden or yellow fur color. It can also mean that that dog is a cross breed between a golden retriever and a Labrador. A Labrador retriever is a lab that retrieves an object such as the game that a hunter shot or a stick or toy that you threw.
No, they aren't endangered. Actually, they aren't a breed, rather they are a popular cross of a Poodle and a Golden Retriever. Because they aren't a true breed of dog, there isn't a breed standard of how any Goldendoodle will look. Some look more "golden" and less "oodle" than others.
Well, there isn't one main cross. Two guinea pigs I had (one was short haired and the other one was long haired) gave birth to three guinea pigs. Two were short haired and the other was long haired. Hope I helped!
The first Comfort Retriever was created by a Golden Retriever breeder who had wished for years that there was a smaller variation of Golden Retriever so that even owners that preferred smaller dogs could enjoy a Golden Retriever. In 2003 the first litter was produced. This breeding was done by Kathy Burgess in Kentucky. The first two litters were composed of Golden Retriever and Cocker Spaniel. When temperament issues occurred the Cocker Spaniel was discontinued from the breeding program. All further litters were composed only of Golden Retriever and Poodle. The Miniature Golden Retriever is not a purebred; rather, it is a specific type of mixed-breed dog or crossbreed. As such, it is not accepted for registration by recognized registries of purebred dogs. Miniature Golden Retrievers composed only of Golden Retriever and Poodle can be registered with the Designer Dog Kennel Club (DDKC). They registered the first Miniature Golden Retriever July 21 2009. Since the first Miniature Golden Retriever was produced and registered other breeders have started calling their dogs Miniature Golden Retrievers, despite the dogs having different breed combinations from the original Miniature Golden Retriever. Breeders have found other hybrid registries that will register their dogs as Miniature Golden Retrievers. Miniature Golden Retrievers composed of Golden Retriever and (an unknown cross) can be registered with the Dog Registry of America (DRA).. Miniature Golden Retrievers composed of 50% or more a golden retriever, up to 25% poodle, American Cocker Spaniel or other spaniel breed can be registered with the Certified Pet Registry (CPR). Please be aware that since the registries have different definitions for Miniature Golden Retrievers any potential owner should ask what the hybrid is composed of. A dog registered with CPR could have no poodle and therefore none of the poodle intelligence, temperament, hypo-allergenic and reduced shedding attributes. The dog would also be composed of one or more types of spaniel. The types of spaniel used in the breeding should be researched so the potential owner will understand the impact of the dog's intelligence, temperament, health issues and other attributes. Please research those breeds.
Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, German Shepard, Bichon, Poodle, Shih Tzu, etc.. An example of a hybrid breed or designer dog would be a labradoodle, goldendoodle, malti-poo, puggle. Those are cross breed dogs, or mixed breed dogs
