No you can't. Once a rival marriage happens there is no way you can marry either person in the rival couple. They are already married and have no interest in your character anymore. If Vaughn has married Sabrina you have no choice but to marry someone else or stay single.

You should marry Mark. Then you will be able to have all of the rival events take place once the requirements have been met. Also if you don't marry mark then you will never be able to have your island 100% completed because some girl/boy wont be married. It is also much easier to marry mark because he likes everything you give him. I married Elliot but I'm not trying to complete the island. You can marry whoever you want. Just remember that you have to keep that person happy for your whole game life.
