I know that Albert Einstein was a genius. He played violin. He was also a math professor. He was born in 1879 in Ulma, Germany. I know that he was the inventor of the theory E=mc2. That's about all I'm going to say.

I'm writing a report about him! :D

Well I know that this is what I'm writing about him. Feel free to take any info!

On March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Germany a powerful new mind entered the world. His name was Albert Einstein. Little did his parents know this little baby would make the world rethink what we know? One thing everyone knew about Albert was the he loved asking questions. He worked his whole life asking and answering a variety of questions such as: What holds the sun and planets in space? Does space go on forever? Where does math come from, and who thought it up?

Albert came from a small town called Ulm, Germany. He was the oldest and first-born child of Hermann and Pauline Einstein. Albert's father and his uncle, Jakob ran a small electrical supply company. Hoping to do more business the Einstein's moved to the big city of Munich, where Albert's sister Maja was born.

Albert's mother and father had high hopes for Albert and before he was three Albert tried to speak in whole sentences. At first he practiced the words softly to himself, then aloud. When Albert was five years old his father showed him a pocket compass. Albert thought that there must be something in the space, previously thought to be empty, that was moving the needle and later stated that this experience made "a deep and lasting impression". By time Albert was eight he took violin lessons. He called his violin, Lina but soon quit for he did not like it. He later took great pleasure in Mozart's violin sonatas.

As Albert grew he began to show a talent for mathematics. In 1889, a friend of the Einstein's introduced ten-year-old Albert to key science, mathematics and philosophy texts. Some of these included Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and Euclid's Elements. Albert called it the "holy little geometry book". From Euclid, Albert discovered and began to understand deductive reasoning. By the age of twelve he had learned Euclidean geometry. Soon enough he began to learn calculus. Some later studies were at Polytechnic Institute, where on 1905 after five years of college, Albert graduated from Polytechnic with his PhD.

Some of Albert's famous quotes were: "Anyone who never made a mistake has never tried anything new." "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage - to move in the opposite direction." "Imagination is more important than knowledge." "I never think of the future. It comes soon enough." "Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love." "Not everything that counts can be counted and not everything that can be counted counts." "I am convinced that He (God) does not play dice."

By time Albert was twenty-six years old his original thinking had transformed into an understanding of the world around him. His scientific theories had practical effects. He did not just challenge what scientists took as a proven, but also the way nations were governed and why there were too many people forced to live or die.

4Albert became very famous because of his scientific papers. Sometime in 1901 he published his first scientific paper. In 1905 three of his papers completely revolutionized our concepts of time, space, energy and matter. But it wasn't just his papers that made Albert as famous as he is today. He created the equation E=mc² which first appeared in print for the first time in 1905. E=mc² means something more then it appears though. "It means that Energy is equal to Mass multiply by the speed of light. If you differentiate the formula (find the rate of change, take out the constant C, keep the variables E and M) you will get this E=M. Which means mass is associated with energy. More mass means more energy. You can increase E by increasing M.

But since E is MC²(C is the conversion factor to convert mass to energy), 1gram of mass is equivalent to 89.9 terajoules.

1 joule is approximately the energy required to lift a small apple one metre straight up."

Small Notes(a few things that don't fit anywhere):

· His IQ was somewhere around 145.

· His dog's name was Chico Marx.

· If Einstein was still alive today he would be 129 years old.

· Albert was 3 weeks premature

Ø Birth: March 14, 1879

Ø Ulm, Germany

Ø Death: April 18, 1955

Ø Albert Einstein Discovered E=mc² (formula of gravity).

Einstein's IQ was said to be 169, although scientists believe it may have been higher.

Einstein was not very intelligent in his childhood (he was even nicknamed the dopey one)
