What do you look for if engine won't start and the fuel pump and filter and starter all are in working order?

power from the battery The Battery and wires is simple and easy. If the car was seriously tapped, in a parking lot or whereever, the fuel shutoff may have tripped? Is there spark at the sparkplugs? Take a look through the engine oil filler opening, is the camshaft turning while the engine cranks? I hope it's cheap and easy to fix.

Remove the bolts around the perimeter of the intake manifold and from the passenger side of the engine compartment you can lift the intake up far enough to gain access to the starter. Remember to disconnect the battery negative terminal first. I have used a bungee cord to hang the intake in the air while working on the starter. Remove the two wires leading to the starter and then the two 13mm bolts securing the starter to the engine block. Pull the starter out from under the intake manifold and install the new starter in the reverse order. The intake manifold gaskets are reusable.
