It doesn't translate well. Depending on the context, it means:

Fat (girl/woman), I love you. or I love you (girl) fat.

HOWEVER!!!! It is most probably said as a term of endearment! There is a very good possibility this is not a put-down in any way shape or form.

This is where just translating words without considering the culture can fail to give the translation the right meaning. In English, calling some one fat is always considered an insult or at least impolite. But in Spanish it can be an endearing term.

Calling a girlfriend "cupcake" or "Honey" or "sugarplum" in English is seen as a term of endearment, but the words don't necessarily convey the same meaning in Spanish. In some cases it just doesn't make sense when translated directly.

The English term used to be "Rubenesque"- A full-bodied, attractive and voluptuous girl or woman. Presently, especially with American culture, even this term is seen as an insult. But in Spanish gorda CAN (in the right context) be a term of love.
