You will see water droplets forming on the mirror
the mirror steams up and forms condensation on it and becomes misty. when it cools down it forms water droplets.
the water particles from you mouth/lungs are exhaled from your mouth and stick to the new surface, the mirror. if you notice, it happens with everything, even wood, just not as noticable.
condensation the water droplets in your breath attach to the mirror and fog it

When you breath on a mirror what is the name of the substance that collects on the mirror?

The substance is named condensation. It is the result of a reaction between your hot breath and the cold mirror. Your breath is warm and thus holds more moisture. When it touches the cold mirror it cools rapidly. This new colder air cannot hold as much water and therefore deposits the extra on the mirror.

Why a hot shower fogs up a bathroom mirror?

the heat from the shower causes it to fog and if ur window for the bathroom is small then it takes a while for the air to escape causing the smoke to become traped to your mirror like if u blow your breath towards the mirror then it fogs and also not only your mirror gets foggy but also the floor or wall.thank u very much
