Never give/spray your hermit crab with tap water. It constricts their gills and WILL kill them. Use bottled or distilled water, you can also buy hermit crab water conditioner at your local pet store for about 3 dollars. It will give instructions on how much to put into the tap. Salt water is mostly for soaking, so just put some in a shallow bowl in your crabitat, as well as fresh water, and make sure that its shallow enough so the smallest crab won't drown but the biggest crab soak in it. Hope that helps! :)
Neither, You spray Fairy tears. Jon Reade
They cannot live with a land hermit crab because land hermit crabs live out of water so the fish would die (as you know) if it is out of water.
no because they could be land hermit crab and die
It depends on the kind of hermit crab. if you find it at the beach it most likely needs water but if you find a land hermit crab they won't be able to breath under water, but land hermit crabs still enjoy being a little wet.
Land Hermit Crabs consume fresh water. It is suggested by some pet stores to have two watering dishes. One for bottled fresh water and the other for bottled salt water. The hermit crab can choose between the two depending upon the nutrients it feels it needs. If you do not have salt water- that is fine, it is not necessary.
depends on what kind of hermit crab, there are land and water hermits. they live according to what type they are.
In the wild, land hermit crabs live in jungles, forests, and even gardens in warm areas. Water hermit crabs live in the warm oceans.
Marine hermit crabs live underwater and can sometimes be found in tidepools. Land hermit crabs do not live in the water but need fresh and salt water to survive.
It depends on were it is, if it is in the water then no, but if it is out on land then it has a chance to over heat.
Salt water hermit crabs need to live in ocean water that has been properly set up (like a reef aquarium). Land hermit crabs need access to both fresh and salt water but live the majority of their lives on land.
No, there are some hermit crabs called purple pinchers and they happen to be land crabs.
Land hermit crabs can't breath out of water, they will drown, they have modified gills, which means they need humidity to survive. (70-85%).
