I think it's to give them the opportunity to choose their lifestyle, instead of forcing His will on them. However, there are consequences on the choices made, and His Will are always the best ones. But He's kind enough to let us choose, and hope we choose the right way, His way.
A:2It has absolutely nothing to do with (God's) a higher purpose, but rather about Politicians and financially influential individuals concocting fairy-tales like Santa Claus to market their products. Man created a false God in man's own greedy and selfish image and likeness so that they could dominate the foolish workers and slaves through fear and fantasy so that they could maximize their socioeconomic power and profitability.
