∙ 14y agoyes they were and if you didn't know that you could just type in segregated schools in the 1950s on Google search and something would probably pop up.

∙ 11y agoBlack schools were run down and old with very poor learning conditions. They had to use extremely old textbooks and had only a couple of teachers or all eight grades. :(

I live in Baltimore and can think of more than ten in the area without even stopping to think about it. They are everywhere. Often, in an area, Catholic private schools are more affordable than non-Catholic private schools.
